Isn’t it funny how you can experience something in so many little ways, and yet it hides in plain sight. It isn’t ready to blossom fully into the level of realisation that requires a shift. And yet the journey to get there is utterly perfect. As gradually understanding aligns with the readiness to embrace it. In this case my readying has taken years, maybe even lifetimes. My realisation concerns Quaramba, and releasing her fear. And this process is infused with such love and support, which allowed the portal to become fully crystallised for us both.
Groundwork
Groundwork posts involve my training journey with individual horses in the arena. We are relating to each other on the ground, using the energetic connection to communicate. We do this within the wellbeing dialogue, so it is always a mutual choice and agreement in the ‘doing process’. My intention is always therapeutic i.e, seeking a closer bond, perhaps supporting a physical healing or an emotional release.
As I awakened to the language in energy between the horses and me, it was important to follow that and see where it too us. For several years we spent time together in herd meditation and it became clear that there was a new way we could train together, in partnership, exploring engagement again. At this stage we are exploring our relationship through groundwork and will see what unfolds with the process.
I Am Not The Trainer
Maybe it is possible to work with horses without being a trainer. Perhaps it is truer to say that we are all trainers, leaders and guides for each other. Could it be that the true trainer is the Universe itself, and we are all here to offer our individual gift. A gift which unfolds the whole process of bringing Oneness here fully on earth. The further we enter as a herd into the framework of training the clearer this integration becomes.
Embracing The Process
It seems that one of the essential elements in life is embracing the process without judgment or attachment. The first step in this is to understand that there is a process, that it is intelligent, and that supporting the transformation is the most powerful tool we have. Because as humans we have become smart, we think a lot and we decide that we know what is right, the processes all around us are often not allowed to unwind.
Revealing the Mystery of Engagement
One aspect that is coming to light with what I am doing with the horses is the subtlety of the connection. It makes it difficult for people to see, and so its existence and value is easily overlooked. This is challenging because as with holographic drawings, once you can see it, it leaps out at you. Revealing engagement, how it manifests within the relationship and how transformative it is, feels deeply important for the welfare of horses in general. It is actively therapeutic and offers a way to expand and sophisticate our partnership without the exploitation which is so common in training and riding horses.
Going Forward Now
Going forward now, in this present moment, is embracing everything about horses. It acknowledges how they express themselves and what they choose. And within that, discovering my own own ability to perceive and engage and join in. This last swing of the spiral has dug deeper than ever into the stubborn conditioning that limits my mind. What an unwinding this is!
